Laser Srugery In Malaysia

The habit of reading in young people and the "Bookmobile"

Via Professor Pedro Fernandez (Colegio Inmaculada Jesuits) I have known the activities and concerns of the Leo Group , a group of teachers from Alicante to support the renewal of teaching and encouraging reading.

The contents of the blog are a reflection of these concerns, especially in the aspect of the animation of reading. Similarly, the trajectory of the members of the group is linked to a commendable commitment to the use of new technologies. A good example is the Virtual Classroom Mio Cid in the Virtual Library Miguel de Cervantes (with a very active participation of Pedro Fernandez).

The animation is done reading through seminars, contests, stories, montages of "great rooms" in schools (with the support of publishing groups), classroom activities with entertainers, book exhibitions, talks, talks ... A summary, see Leo Group History.

The habit of reading in children and young

Following a review of materials and group activities, I do not doubt that teachers carry out an intensive and enthusiastic struggle for the development of habit reading among children and youth.

The problem you face is not trivial. The social and cultural environment in which our youth are developed is not conducive to stimulating receptivity. A television has been joined by other elements, all linked to the screen: games, computers, psp, play station, etc.

Probably many of these elements encourage imagination and creativity of children but the results seem to be balanced if done at the expense of significant reading deficits. A large part of today's youth and shatters the writing, has a very poor capacity of expression and in line can not move or communicate their creative potential.

This leads me to ask that you may need an alliance between new technologies and reading books. In this line could be the "Library Mobile ", a project which is currently at the Virtual Library Miguel de Cervantes and announced in the previous post ( tenth anniversary of Miguel de Cervantes Virtual Library ).

I also clear that without the support of teachers in primary and secondary virtual world, mobile libraries, digital books are pure pipe dream at the time to develop the habit of reading. It is time, therefore, the alliances.
