7 For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself.
8 For whether we live, live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So either we live, or we die, we are the Lord.
9 For to this end Christ died and rose again, and returned to live, to be Lord of both the dead and the living.
10 But why do you judge your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? because we shall all stand before the tribunal of Christ.
11 it is written, I live, saith the Lord, unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess to God.
12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
13 So do not judge one another any other: rather judge as not to offend or Brother scandal.
14 I know and trust the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean of itself: but to him who thinks anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
15 But if because of food your brother is, no longer walking according to the charity. Do not mess with your food to that for which Christ died. 16 It is therefore
blasphemed your good:
17 That the kingdom of God is not meat and drink but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and is acceptable to men.
19 So, we continue to making peace, and to the edification of one another.
Romans 14.7-19
Reina Valera 1909
Yesterday I had the pleasure of participating in a rich convesación with a friend and uncles. We exchanged opinions and anecdotes about the conflicts that arise around the inclusion / distinas exlusion of sexual orientation and the abstention from certain foods and drinks.
Sometimes people without clarity on the issue, we took a stand not by conviction but by fear of being judged. Fear of being 'bad' or rejected in the eyes of others. Please ... We hate to crap! All we do is love! If you do not believe that alcohol or meat will do wrong or offend God, no pretend that you believe just to please your peers. It is God who must give account. And you that you abstain, not hate, slander or judge those who do not share your position. San Pablo exemplifies the Romans on this about food, drink and fast days, but applies to all conflicts. If you think that other sexual tendencies are harmful, abstain from them, but do not send to hell those who do the exercise. Your hatred not only poisons you, it hurts your brothers. You want to blame others for your curse the Lord? I hope the answer is NO. Nor hate those who do not support your views or do not like your way of life. If they tell you to change, it may be that care about you or afraid to happen undesirable.
We are all brothers, called to be children of God. Be patient and hope that he work in us and those around us. With violence and fear backwards.
listen to each other and grow together!
