Truth of the Bible
saw this movie last week with a good friend, a big fan of movies that usually show all kinds of movies. This movie is a gem unpopular, but is considered a cult film. This is a man taking leave of his colleagues and friends at home confesses to being a Cro-Magnon who has survived, thus taking 14000 years. The entire film takes place in this place where unbelievers (at first) your friends would follow suit
comenzand or a talk full of different philosophical reactions.
This science fiction film is full of surprises, but why mention it?
It will upset the concept of effort and several characters' feelings can be clearly seen impressive psychological aspects of being human that show our weakness. There comes a point where this modern caveman begins to tell his version of history, coming to tell their own version of the Holy Gospel.
See the reactions of the characters, especially a very Christian lady, hiso I wonder how I would react in that place. WHAT is what I do believe in the Lord so irrefutable? What things depends? Our brothers fundamentalists have had countless problems with different existential discoveries of science. Is it true that if the historical veracity of the Bible is contradicted Christianity is destroyed?
I hope not be very drastic with my opinions, and hope to receive answers, but I've always seen the Bible as philosophical poetry, traces of different people who have achieved that pure communion with God and theological conclusions of people and peoples of the past. Seeing it as a book written by God or as a history book is hard for me. I consider that the words of these books are compelling and straight out of the mouth of God becomes destructive.
I think one of the things I've learned to recognize as the most important, to get to enjoy the love that is a pillar of Christianity and our lives, is humility. That elusive thing I think is what allows us to see that unity in God, the Universal Church ("Catholic" as the Apostles' Creed, which literally means "Universal").
How do we know that we interpret the Scriptures in the right way? Somo only a weak human. We are weak, but we're big and happy as we feel close to His love. I think if you are not honest with yourself, if you believe blindly denying what one sees and feels proud that we wake up begins to separate from him How can we be sure that somo alone have the right? The book of Job librso contradicts the law, Jesus contradicted several things set up Moses, Luther contradicted the Roman Catholic Church, contardicen different religions, yet we are all in the same church. Even the pagans have an important role in the Church of Christ, says St. Paul.
My experience with Loving Spirit, the God of Christ, has developed beautifully with the predicate in the Bible. This is what made me accept this book as Scripture, I trust what he says, but I always remain open to see God differently, always that is in pursuit of love and unity.
I do not think we found was sent to discover the mysteries of the world and has been fighting over the different versions of the past. Our mission on earth is to love, so if the ambition to be right has separated us is that we have become fools. I hope
taste the love of God, receiving His Holy Spirit and to achieve the desired humility. Thank God for the ecumenical feeling and thanks for the life he has given us.
Watch the movie, is good;)
