This morning I learned that the renowned leader of Al Qaeda has been killed by U.S. forces yesterday. It was a story that shocked me and filled me with curiosity.
Bin Laden has been a source of terror in the Western world, especially in more developed countries, and has led a radical vision and international jihad, the Islamic spiritual warfare. Has been an engine for cultural terrorism. I really believe terrible transform religion into a machine of hatred and death, so it will have much to pay the Lord, this gentleman ... but compared with the Christian culture we have inherited is really short.
Christianity began as a meek and humble faith, discipleship and patient and full of persecution. Born with a leader, our Savior and incarnation of God, which invites "turn the other cheek" and "love our enemies." He came to die as a vandal and murderer, was innocent, for showing your love, save and deal with the corrupt religious authorities then. Where is your church? Did we, the western "Christian"? I think not. Since the apostolic legacy was in the hands of the Roman power has become an imperial religion, and history confirms this showing as the preferred western repeatedly crucified instead of being crucified, being you pull the trigger instead of being in the spotlight. Today we no longer see large slave colonies and empires, but the political-economic control Yankee still enslaving and killing many. Makes me sick when I read that Obama said "Tonight justice has been done," when The New York Times writes "The bastard is dead", when Peter King said "He got what he deserved" when Christians say "What would you like a lot of people here today is to have to spit on his corpse, when millions around the world celebrate with joy a murder ... You make me sick.
Instead of supporting gringo arrogance and pride, that imperialist obsession, we should be empathetic and understand the merits of jihad intecultural, try to be hurt like hell that we Western "infidels." Meeting laudable among them are people who, for fear of God, has dedicated his life to fighting imperialism.
For the convictions that I have by revelation and Christian tradition, I have plenty of reasons to believe that Osama has not inherited life, but heartfelt desire to inherit and may he rest in peace from the Lord.
