After psychosis caused by the influenza outbreak of the big question that remains is: Were they exaggerated the measures taken by both government such as the federal capital?. One way to see the problem with that analogy: imagine that we are in a wooden building without fire escapes, much less fire extinguishers. It's three in the morning and it turns out that one of the fire departments there is a small, very small, we are aware and we must make a decision: evacuate the building and call the fire department?. This option means that tenants must leave the building for several hours with the obvious inconvenience this caused because it's three in the morning as well in the effort to put out the fire little firefighters could wet all departments.
The second option is expected to contain at the end is small.
However, it appears that the fire is a few meters from a gas pipeline and whether it extends a bit going to blow up the building, killing a large part of tenants.
The choice is between taking the cost of bringing neighbors for a small fire or take the uncertainty and waiting for the fire to be controlled before it causes further damage.
The choice made by the Federal Government and even more emphatically the DF government was not taking risks and trying to contain the epidemic by launching a very loud alarm which generated a certain level of psychosis and damage to the tourist image of Mexico. Now it is known that the lethality of the virus is low and buy Mexican government measures with the United States and our country exceeds the number of cases but not in death, has been widespread criticism.
In my opinion the Federal and local government acted swiftly and efficiently, the measure was necessary. However, there were certain contradictions and absurdities that overshadowed the role that made both governments. Following the comparison is clearly needed extinguishers, emergency stairs and even replace the entire building for one that is not wood. The equivalent is the Mexican health system is outdated, inadequate, outdated and bureaucratic. That explains why in U.S. deaths are two more cases while in Mexico we have more than 4 dozen people killed fewer cases.
I would think that as a result of the crisis will undertake a thorough reform of the health system in Mexico, however, the elections are already ongoing and substantive discussions will be buried under an avalanche of scandals and political coups, the first show: the book of Ahumada.
